What Liberals Don’t Want You To Know About Charlottesville

A commonly held opinion is that the police made numerous mistakes in Charlottesville left wing –right wing clash.  Although it didn’t get much attention, an anonymous police office leaked that his force was told not to prevent the two groups from clashing. Normal procedure with opposing groups is to keep them separate like Boston did last week.

If you look at videos from the park area where the statue was there are no policemen even though it served as the flash point. The no interference order came from the town’s Democratic political leaders.  They wanted a clash.

My wife taught me a good lesson when she asked me why the Polish Government did not tear down the Auschwitz Concentration Camp.  I told her it serves as a reminder of Nazi evils along with being a memorial.  She said, “So why don’t they just add plaques telling people where these southern leaders who have statues stood on the subject of slavery?” Good idea was my reply.

“I wonder if they are going to tear down the Washington National Monument and the Jefferson Memorial in Washington , D.C. ” was my next thought. I went on to state that in Virginia they should tear down every statue of Virginia Democratic Senator Harry Byrd.  The Democrats supported him throughout his political career despite the fact that he was a KKK leader. While they are at it, they should tear down every statue of Democratic President Andrew Jackson. Jackson is considered by many to be the father of the Democratic Party because he gave them the name Democrat. He was beyond a doubt a slaver. While they are at it, they should get rid of any statue of our rapist ex-President Bill Clinton. He is the only president who lost his lawyer’s license because he committed perjury.

Wait! Shouldn’t they also take down any portrait or statue of Democratic Senators or Representatives who supported slavery before and after the Civil War.  But the Democrats want to distract people from knowing their own history. It was Democratic members of Congress who supported and wanted to expand slavery. The Republican Party was founded as an antislavery party. Lincoln’s election (He was the first Republican elected to the Presidency.) was the reason for the Democratic south succeeding from the Union.

As for symbols of the Confederacy, how about the Clinton-Gore campaign button from the 1992 presidential race.

The hypocrisy of liberals and Democrats demonstrates they want to hide their own history of supporting slavery. This is historical fact. It was Democratic legislatures that put grandfather clauses, polling taxes, and literacy tests into state laws to prevent African-Americans from voting for decades. But most American liberals don’t know or ignore their own history.

It was the Radical Republicans who enacted the 13th, 14th and 15th Amendments over the objections of Democrats.  The 13th Amendment abolished slavery in ALL states, the 14th Amendment provided “equal protection” to all and the 15th Amendment gave black men the right to vote.

President Eisenhower enforced the desegregation of education to the point he used airborne soldiers in Little Rock, Arkansas. Southern Democratic governors opposed him every step of the way.

So historically speaking, Democrats fought civil rights while Republicans championed them.  You just have to look at the historic record. So do we tear down all statues of Democrats?
