The liberal media has been reporting about how the “Russians hacked the election”. The use of the term “hacked” conveys the impression that they were able to change the votes on voting machines through electronic manipulation. It is a false and misleading use of the word. Here is why it is a “fake news” item:
- Voting machines are stand alone machines that are NOT connected to each other.
- Voting machines are not connected to the Internet
- Voting machines are not computers
These facts were pointed out to Chris Wallace two weeks ago when he interviewed the Assistant Director of the Federal Election Commission. The Assistant Director said it was impossible to “hack” the voting machines because of the facts listed above.
If the Russians or anybody else could hack the voting machines, why didn’t they change the votes in New Hampshire, New Mexico, California, etc. in favor of Trump?
Now if you want to look at what was hacked, it has NOTHING TO DO WITH THE ELECTION. It was the Wikileaks revelations about how the Democratic National Committee conspired against Bernie Sanders.
The true hacking involved Clinton Campaign Manager John Podesta. There was a fake account reset message sent to him allegedly from Google. It was a phishing e-mail. “Phishing is the attempt to obtain sensitive information such as usernames, passwords, and credit card details (and, indirectly, money), often for malicious reasons, by disguising as a trustworthy entity in an electronic communication.” It is a popular method used by cyber criminals.
Podesta referred the fake Google notice to his staff to determine its legitimacy. Charles Delavan, an aide, sent this message, “This is a legitimate e-mail. John needs to change his password immediately.” Based on his say so, Podesta opened the fake e-mail account which unleashed spyware into his e-mails.
Wikileaks then published Podesta’s e-mail correspondence with the Democratic National Committee. Podesta and others, like Debbie Wasserman-Shultz, conspired behind the primary to insure Hillary Clinton got the nomination and not Bernie Sanders. It was these Podesta DNC e-mails that the CIA claimed to be “Russian hacking” of the election. All of this occurred BEFORE the election.
Since Bernie Sanders was the victim of behind the scenes skullduggery to deny him the Democratic nomination, the Daily Mail of England claimed in a news story that it wasn’t Russia that sent the Podesta e-mails to Wikileaks. It was a disgruntled Bernie Sanders supporter working for the US government who was the source.
The English media outlet Daily Mail published this account of how Assange got the leaked e-mails:
Craig Murray, former British ambassador to Uzbekistan and associate of Julian Assange, told the Daily Mail, he was handed the e-mails by a “source who had legal access to the information. The documents came from inside leaks, not hacks.” The source was “disgusted at the corruption of the Clinton Foundation and the tilting of the primary election playing field against Bernie Sanders.” That explanation makes more sense than the Russian hacking claims.
Finally, Hillary Clinton’s carelessness in handling classified information infuriated members of the security services. This cannot be proven but allegedly the handing over of the e-mails to Wikileaks was done with the blessing of security experts who did not want to see her elected. They felt that the safety of the nation was at risk if she became president. Just remember what FBI Director Comey said about her.
Furthermore, there is no evidence that the e-mails influenced the election because Bernie Sanders was the target not Trump. Political polls consistently demonstrated that jobs and the economy were the top concerns of people around the nation.
Finally, the continuation of this “fake news” is just another attempt by liberals to delegitimize Trump’s presidency. It demonstrates how liberals will go to great lengths, even lying, to get their way. Lies by Obama, the Democrats and Hillary are part of the reason for her losing the election.
If anything, the e-mail scandal revealed that Podesta and his staff were stupid and incompetent. There was no Russian conspiracy as claimed by the Washington Post and Democrats.
