How bad is the US economy under Obama? It is so bad that another negative record has been set by his administration. For the first time since the Great Depression, the majority of people on food stamps are working poor adults. According to an Associated Press analysis of census data, “Since 2009, more than 50 percent of U.S. households receiving food stamps have been adults ages 18 to 59…” Previously, children and the elderly constituted the majority of food stamp recipients.
Why? “…a slow economic recovery with high unemployment, stagnant wages and an increasing gulf between low-wage and high-skill jobs also plays a big role.” In short, Obama’s policies have been a complete failure. This is the longest recovery in US History because the jobs he promised never materialized. In addition, the Associated Press reported that wages are seeing the lowest growth rate compared to corporate profits. Corporate profits are up due to the Federal Reserve’s buying of US Treasuries to keep the Obama economy afloat.
Liberals and Democrats like lemmings falling off a cliff continue to defend his actions by rationalizing his failures. They don’t let facts get in the way such as these in the report:
“By education, about 28 percent of food stamp households are headed by a person with at least some college training, up from 8 percent in 1980. Among those with four-year college degrees, the share rose from 3 percent to 7 percent. High-school graduates head the bulk of food stamp households at 37 percent, up from 28 percent. In contrast, food stamp households headed by a high-school dropout have dropped by more than half, to 28 percent.”
Basically, you can get an education but it doesn’t matter because “Many of the U.S. jobs now being created are low- or minimum wage – part-time or in areas such as retail or fast food – which means food stamp use will stay high for some time, even after unemployment improves.” The AP estimates that it may take as long as 10 years but it depends upon an economy that is growing and not flat like the Obama economy.
The liberal ideological agenda is failing again. Like people with a blindfold on in a dark room without any lights, they continue to spout the same worn out ideas like “income inequality” and “wealth redistribution” without admitting they are responsible for the “income inequality” caused by their “wealth redistributions” scams. All of their lame schemes to eliminate poverty have created more poverty while driving the U.S. deeper into debt. More government is making us a poorer nation.
