Obama’s Policies Are Shrinking The Middle Class

President Obama has made himself the champion of the middle class. His whole campaign for the presidency is not based on his record but his efforts to tax the rich more. He has not made it clear exactly what he is going to do to bring relief to the middle class in light of this job killing recovery. Rather than being the champion of the middle class, he is the Pied Piper who promised a lot but failed to deliver anything of substance.

Under the Obama Administration the middle class has been moving backward. The statistics Romney cited in the second debate are government statistics.

Under Obama people qualifying for food stamps rose from 37 million to 47 million. That means that 10 million people slipped back into poverty from the middle class.

Romney was correct when he said there are 23 million unemployed. This statistic demonstrates millions moving from the middle class to the poverty level. How do you pay your bills and maintain your middle class living style when you don’t have a job?

Contrary to what Obama said about moving forward, we are moving backwards. A number of companies like Applebees have announced they will probably cut the hours of their employees because of ObamaCare. Part-time employees don’t qualifying for benefits. It is cheaper for companies to avoid the huge taxes, remember the Supreme Court declared the fees were really taxes, required of companies employing over 500 people. To make ends meet, future workers will have to work more than one job. This will become the new norm if Obama is re-elected.

Obama’s policies have exploited the middle class for political gain. It is time to wake up to this reality.
