Today, September 11, 2012, the Internal Revenue Service announced it will NOT collect the ObamaCare tax. When the Supreme Court declared that the fees in the Affordable Care Act were actually taxes, it changed the dynamics of the law by requiring that the IRS check each and every individual for compliance with the law.
The law was designed to make sure every citizen had health insurance. Already the law is becoming unenforceable because those who do not buy health insurance were to pay a tax penalty to help fund the law. People could now ignore the provisions of the law and rely on emergency care at hospitals which is the situation now. Taxpayers must keep in mind that emergency room care does not necessarily mean the uninsured will pay anything. Whether a person has health insurance or not the law requires that hospital care must be granted.
You can be certain that millions will not buy health insurance and rely upon taxpayers to pay their hospital bills. Why not, it is a cheap option especially since the IRS will not enforce the law.
So what good is the law?
