Obama Not Champion of Middle Class

President Obama has repeatedly said that he is protecting the middle class through his policies. It is BS. The Federal Reserve has issued a report that middle class median household wealth has declined by 39% over the past three years. So over a third of the wealth of the middle class disappeared during his term as president.

Obama’s stimulus failed, his funding for “green” jobs was a disaster, his spending has been the highest in American history, etc. He grew the Washington bureaucracy but didn’t ignite any growth in the private sector. The so-called recovery is so weak that there are fears that we are slipping back into a recession.

Rather than change course or try new solutions, he insists that higher taxes are needed especially on the 1% of the wealthiest in the nation. Contradicting his taxing the 1% as a solution is the Congressional Budget Office which reported that even if you taxed them 100% of their wealth it still would only be a drop in the bucket. So his solution is unrealistic and unattainable as a means of turning the economy around.

American economic growth is anemic, unemployment continues to be high and the national debt and deficit is reaching new record highs. All of this impacts the middle class in a negative way and demonstrates that he is not our protector and champion.
