Not my fault Obama stuck his foot in his mouth again. Nothing is his fault.
On Saturday, June 2, he blamed US economic problems on Europe. “The crisis in Europe’s economy has cast a shadow on our own. And all of this makes it even more challenging to fully recover and lay the foundation for an economy that’s built to last,” Obama said in his weekly radio address.
Not so fast President Obama! French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius yesterday, Tuesday, repudiated President Obama’s claim that the European debt crisis was responsible for the downturn in the US economy. “The crisis did not start in Europe … Lehman Brothers was not a European bank,” Fabius said. “We should not shift responsibility. We’re all in the same boat.”
Rather than learn from the European crisis and avoiding what produced it in the first place, over-spending, Obama prefers to blame others for his failure to grow the American economy. He and the Democrats never take responsibility for their poor economic decisions. Instead, they seek to deflect and rationalize the longest recovery from a recession in American history. This is why his economic record is one of the worst in American history and why there are fears that we are slipping back into a recession.
